As a teacher, when we implement the standards, we still have the opportunity to listen to our student needs. In this presentation, I will share simple strategies to allow for student choice and input in daily lessons and assessments. Learning and engagement increase when students have ownership and accountability in shaping their learning. These strategies are relationship-based, creating mutual trust and respect in the classroom.
